About

Eran is a Guelph-based musical artist and teacher. He began his musical journey when he was five years old, taking group keyboard lessons at the local music school, and fell in love with music ever since.

Armed with an ironclad foundation in Western classical music theory, Eran began to experiment with other styles and instruments as early as high school, when he took up cello and guitar, and ended up winning the school’s Orchestra Spirit Award. Right after high school, he completed his A.R.C.T. followed by a Bachelor of Music at the University of Toronto, and a Master of Music at Memorial University, all in Piano Performance. However, Eran also spent countless hours mastering his voice, performing with dozens of groups and directing several others, such as the Toronto Dukes of Harmony, the Maple Grove United Church Chancel Choir (Oakville), the Canadian Men’s Chorus and more.

Eran is currently a choral scholar (tenor) at St. George’s Anglican Church and a baritone in the Guelph Chamber Choir, where he performed as a soloist. His extended and versatile vocal range has allowed him to perform various repertoire, from light barbershop, jazz, and popular music covers to musical theatre and opera.

Eran has a debut album, “Catharsis”, which is available on YouTube and Spotify. He is currently working on a second album, “The Healing”, which deals with themes of family, love, birth, happiness, death and mourning, tragedy, and ultimately - healing from one’s wounds.

Currently, Eran works as an elementary school teacher for the Upper Grand District School Board. He is married to his wonderful husband Krishna, who is also the oboist featured in The Healing. They have a dog named Miku.
